YMCA & GivingPoint Youth of the Year Award

The Youth of the Year Award is given to one amazing GivingPointer each year to recognize his or her accomplishments in the community. The Youth of the Year is a YMCA member who shows real promise as a social entrepreneur – someone who finds innovative solutions to address critical issues in society.

The Youth of the Year winner is recognized for fueling their civic passion and dedicating many hours to their cause. The Youth of the Year is honored for finding a problem facing the community, is working to fix that particular problem, and has made a long-term commitment to help better the lives of others. This honoree is not a student who simply shows up to volunteer at projects, but a student who is passionate about helping others and uses his or her knowledge, leadership, and positive attitude to achieve their goals.

If you know a social innovator who fits the Youth of the Year description, please nominate them! We will celebrate their accomplishments and recognize their hard work!
