Teens Learn More

Teens can post projects on GivingPoint to recruit volunteers, raise awareness and fund causes they care about.

GivingPoint will connect you with the volunteers and donors who want to make change happen!

Here’s how it works:

  1. You post a project to help a school or nonprofit raise awareness, volunteers and funds. You will get 25 points for posting a project on GivingPoint.
  2. You can quickly and easily invite family and friends to view and support your project through our email system. You can input email addresses or import them from your contact/address book.
  3. You can communicate with the teens who have registered to volunteer for your project through our automated system.
  4. Teens who volunteer at your project will get points! (5 points for every 1 hour of time and 10 points for every 1 hour of talent or skills-based volunteerism.) Please see http://www.mygivingpoint.org/reward for more information.
  5. If you are raising funds for a project, you can monitor your fundraising progress until the end date of the project.

*Once a project reaches its funding goal (or ending date), GivingPoint will send a check to the hosting school or nonprofit for the project. You will get 1 point for every $10 raised from your project.

  6. You can send thank-you emails/messages to the volunteers and donors that helped support your project.

* GivingPoint charges a 5% transaction fee to cover the costs associated with the administration of the funds. Please see http://www.mygivingpoint.org/terms-conditions for more information.
