The problem you want to help solve?
I want to help solve the one problem that many organizations face: funds. This academy has not only helped me, but has helped my sister to be able to pursue her major in college. Recently, there have been many leaks and floods in this building, which makes it a not so safe environment to work and learn in anymore. The officers and explorers are trying so hard to keep this academy alive.
Why is it important?
It's important because it gives explorers a chance to learn information that they would never otherwise learn. It's an opportunity that every county gets because each county gets a post, and police officers volunteer their time in order to inform us on the law. It allows for us to practice scenarios and learn more about criminals. Also, it helps explorers make life-long friends and may even help them in the future with college decisions.
Who will benefit?
The people that normally come into police explorers are Boy Scouts because they are linked, yet anyone is welcome. The explorers and officers could really use this help in order to help the people in the program more and be able to do more things.
What are the goals of the project?
The goals are to help enhance education in the criminal justice and law enforcement field. To do this, we need the help of volunteers to join the project/organization and money to help keep this academy alive and running.
What do you hope to accomplish by the end of this project?
I hope to help out the officers and explorers that have already taught me life lessons. I also wish to be able to give them something in return for all the help that they ha e provided me with. This is my second family and i would do anything for them, and giving back to them is just one way that I can help.
What will you be doing?
I will be collecting cans in order to help raise money for the post(academy). I will also be helping to recruit a couple new explorers to help spread the word on law enforcement and enhance a couple students' education. This is a one in a lifetime opportunity that I don't think anyone should miss.
