  • The problem you want to help solve?
Every year, YMCA members and staff alike strive to continue the Partner With Youth Campaign. Partner With Youth (PWY) is a scholarship fund that allows under resourced, and disabled families to participate in YMCA programs without charge. Because the YMCA is a non-profit organization, this fund is only made possible by donations submitted by members and YMCA staff. The Leaders club has an annual responsibility to raise $17,000, but tough economic times have made this herculean feat even more difficult. Each of us has witness the benefits of Partner With Youth, and know that it is imperative that it continues. The YMCA just wouldn't be the same without it.
  • Why is it important?
The YMCA strives for unity and equality within the community. Because of extenuating circumstances however, the YMCA is not immediately accessible for everyone. People with disabilities, the elderly, and families suffering from economic hardships are allowed to obtain membership, and participate in YMCA programs free of charge thanks to generous donations from the community.
  • Who will benefit?
The YMCA is a symbol of faith and unity within a community. When the YMCA's message is able to reach everyone, the entire community benefits.
  • What will you be doing?
Unfortunately I will not be present for this event, as I will be in the hospital recovering from Orthognathic surgery, however I have taken on the task of promoting this event. I want this event to be as successful as possible, regardless of my absence. I am hoping that my efforts are able to convince anyone reading this to participate in this event.
