About me

Hi everyone! My name is Shannon and I am 18 years old, and about to complete my last year at Alpharetta High School. While I volunteer for multiple organizations, my main priority is Blue Skies Riding Academy in Emerson, Georgia. All of our horses have been donated or rescued, and it takes a team to keep these guys and our lesson program running. But what I have come to discover from volunteering here is that while it may take a team to do all that we do, it only takes one heart to remind these animals how special they are to us. I work at this non-profit with some of my best friends, and we always have a blast. I also volunteer for the Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta and the United Way Foundation through the UPS-SCS Women's Leadership Development group.
