About me

In the past three years of volunteering with the G. Cecil Pruett Canton Community Family YMCA, I have been able to broaden my horizon through mission trips such as, Mission: Guadeloupe 2009 and Mission: Costa Rica 2008. These trips focused on serving international communities by teaching English, improving the community, and building international relationships. I have also done local mission trips, such as, Mission: Atlanta 2009, Mini-Mission: Atlanta 2009, and Mission: Atlanta 2008. These opportunities have enabled me to serve underprivileged children and provide children with a fun, safe way to spend their summer. I also volunteer locally to improve my community and to broaden my view of life. I lead volunteer projects at my school, including blood drives, collecting paper to recycle, and working with a service oriented group, known as Alpha, to improve our school.
