Learn More About Projects

Teens volunteer and post projects to create a better world. You help a teen project of your choice. GivingPoint creates a civic transcript for the teens.

GivingPoint will connect you with teens who need support to make change happen. Here’s how it works:

  • Teens from around the country volunteer their time and post their community projects on GivingPoint
  • You search projects that are posted by teens and nonprofits
  • You give to a project of your choice
  • GivingPoint tracks all contributions and creates the teen’s civic resume (and the teens get Giving Points for raising funds for their causes)
  • You receive thank-you messages
  • You can view the progress of your chosen projects on GivingPoint.

GivingPoint is an online charity that makes it easy for anyone to support a teen who cares about making a difference in this world!

Once a project reaches its funding goal, GivingPoint will send a check to the hosting nonprofit for the project (the nonprofit responsible for implementing the objectives of the project), or we will deliver the materials to the nonprofit. GivingPoint charges a 5% transaction fee to cover the costs associated with the administration of the funds.

Teens who post projects are asked to take photos of their project as the work is taking place. They will then post their photos on their profile pages and blog sites. That way, you can see how you are helping teens to become life-long contributors to society.
