Derek Smith is the Chairman of the Board for GivingPoint and Founder of the Myfifident Foundation, a private family foundation dedicated to creating a more connected, compassionate, and socially responsible society in our technology-driven world.  Through the Myfifident Foundation, he launched GivingPoint as a public charity.

Derek is the Chairman and CEO of the Institute of Global Prescience, an interdisciplinary non-profit research, education and service organization dedicated to the pursuit of prescience – foreknowledge that anticipates global events and trends that are yet unseen.  The Institute seeks to harness the passion of individuals to anticipate issues through clue detection engines that identify inflection points in technological, financial and social systems.

Derek is the former Chairman and CEO of ChoicePoint, a leading provider of decision-making technology and information and a recognized leader in corporate citizenship, information security and personal privacy protection. ChoicePoint was named Company of the Year multiple times, a Best Place for Women to Work in Technology and received a perfect 100 score for eight consecutive years from the Human Rights Campaign.  The unique culture at ChoicePoint gave birth to innovative products and services to help create a safer and more secure society.  The company helped recover more than one thousand missing children. It created the first national background screening service for non-profit volunteers that identified more than 200,000 convicted criminals attempting to work with children – including 2,700 registered sex offenders. Additionally, ChoicePoint’s philanthropic initiatives and employee volunteer efforts won the company recognition from groups as diverse as the US Department of Justice, the US Chamber of Commerce, and the Hands on Network & Points of Light Institute.

Derek is the author of three books.  In his newest publication, “A Purpose Under Heaven,” he uses allegory to explore how technology has influenced and changed human relationships.  He is also the author of two nonfiction works, “The Risk Revolution:  The Threats Facing America and Technology’s Promise for a Safer Tomorrow” and “A Survival Guide in the Information Age”.

Derek serves on the Board of Directors for the Hands on Network and Points of Light Institute, the Georgia Aquarium and Camp Twin Lakes. He also serves as a member of the Atlanta Falcons Board of Advisors.

Ansley Jones Colby is the CEO of GivingPoint. Her mission is to inspire a new generation of young social philanthropists who seek to connect and serve others in today’s technology-driven world. Prior to joining GivingPoint and the Myfifident Foundation, Ansley was the Vice President for Culture and ChoicePoint Care at ChoicePoint, Inc. Ansley oversaw the benevolent activities for ChoicePoint, including in-kind donations, corporate philanthropy, and foundation grant making. She was responsible for developing programs that focused on the protection of children and other vulnerable populations through tools that capitalized upon ChoicePoint's unique technical capabilities. Under her leadership, ChoicePoint was awarded the Sue Weaver CAUSE Award, the American Red Cross Circle of Humanitarians Award, the Metro Atlanta Corporate Volunteer Council Project Award, and the United States Chamber of Commerce Corporate Citizenship Award. Before her work at ChoicePoint, Ansley guided Delta Air Lines’ community affairs initiatives, creating and implementing a successful strategic framework that leveraged relationships with community leaders to build the airline’s reputation as a strong corporate citizen.

Ansley also has extensive experience in government affairs. She spent 8 years in public service in Washington. She served as Director of Public Liaison and Senior Political Advisor for Vice President Al Gore during the Clinton Administration. She has worked as a presidential appointee for the U.S. Department of Defense and the Department of Housing and Urban Development.

In 2001, she was selected to participate in Leadership Atlanta, which identifies and cultivates leaders and provides a forum for informed citizens committed to using their talents and positions to improve the Atlanta community. She was also a delegation leader for the American Council of Young Political Leaders, a bipartisan, nonprofit educational exchange organization dedicated to fostering relations between the next generation of political leaders in the United States and their counterparts around the world.

Ansley graduated cum laude from Furman University, where she is a member of Phi Beta Kappa and received her MBA from The George Washington University.

Ansley resides in Atlanta, Georgia with her husband, Stewart, and son, Mac.

Leah Williamson serves as the Secretary of the Board for GivingPoint and Administrator of the Myfifident Foundation.  She comes to the Foundation with over 30 years of administrative assistance expertise across a broad spectrum of business entities having supported executives in the high tech, temporary services and print manufacturing arenas.  Most recently, she worked directly for and supported Derek Smith in his role as Chairman and CEO of ChoicePoint Inc. until the sale of the company was consummated in the fall of 2008.  Leah is a native of Atlanta and resides in the *******/Lake Lanier area with her husband, Jim, and their three "children" - their dogs - Sophie, Lilly and Katy.
