Technology

We live in an era of exponential change. This means that the ways we live and work, build relationships, interact with each other, perceive ourselves and the world, are dramatically different from previous generations. Much of this change is driven by technology. The Internet and cell phones, for example, are opening the door to a new world of human connection and opportunity. Education, social networking, e-commerce, the power to make informed choices, the ability to instantly communicate across physical and cultural divides, are some great benefits of technology. But with opportunity also comes risk. We want teens to be well-informed about the benefits and risks of technology. Teens need to know about privacy and security issues, as well as Internet and cell phone safety.
