Environment and Climate ChangeThe terms “Climate Change” and “Global Warming” seem to be everywhere today, in newspapers, movies, books, and televisions series. What exactly do those terms mean though and what’s the big deal if the temperature rises a degree or two? The big deal is that thousands of species may become extinct, droughts, floods, and other natural disasters will increase, and land will be lost due to rising sea levels. While many scientist disagree on different aspects of global warming and climate change, they now agree on two major points. First, the increase in temperature is due to human activity, and second, if we do not do something to slow the climate change then there will be serious consequences.
