Summer is finally ending! It's a dismal thing that school is almost here! I am one of those lucky kids who get in on August 23rd. This summer has been BUSY! It consisted of a lot of church related volunteer experiences. I participated in my church show Celebrate America and Vacation Bible School. I have also learned to be a receptionist as well. I have been working at the main desk at my church as well. This summer I have been working on my summer reading assignments for school. I had to read a book called Mountains Beyond Mountains. It was SO inspiring! It was about the adventures of Dr. Paul Farmer and his quest to save Haiti and other places like Peru from T.B and Aids. It was an incredible book! The work that he has done has definitely made an impact. It shows how much power we have to change the world! I applied for my grant money to be donated to them. The organization is Partners in Health!
School School School! I am about the face the most pernicious year ever!! I will have to handle my volunteering, school, xc and track, and my personal life! It's going to be pretty tough, but hopefully I will come out successfully! This summer has been filled with preparing for my classes! It has been busy busy busy!!!!! I hope to make time for everything! Any advice??? :D
